Election Day is just around the corner. We should be about what we need to do to make election day go more smoothly. This is going to be a big election with a large turn out. So expect to be busy all day long.

Here is a list of extra stuff I'm I'm thinking of bringing to the polls. I'm still working on the list but figured posting it here might generate a good discussion.
  • High Lighters
  • Sponge to seal envelopes
  • Spare Envelopes
  • Preprinted Name Tags for my precinct board
  • Colored Pencils
  • Spare pens
  • Spare permanent marker for defacing ballots
  • Post-It notes
  • Scripts for what to say to voters (how to use voting machines, how to mark ballots, what to say about provisional ballots)
  • Extension Cords
  • Calculator
  • Door Stops
  • Bottled Water
What do you bring? Any other ideas?

I recommend finding out if the place is heated adequately. In February I was in a place with no heat and ended up having to go home and get a portable heater. Mind you, that plus two sweaters, extra socks, a hat, a scarf and a blanket still wasn't enough--but this time around presumably it won't be quite that cold, but could still be cold enough you'd need to make provisions.
